Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks
Yosemite's not so little sister
Snow and rain on this parade
About a half mile from Road's End, on
a cold (36 degrees F) morning, snow
was no deterrent. Only the camera
was cold.
One big tree for folks of all sizes
None of the people in this photograph
speak English, but General Sherman
does all the talking around here.
View looking Southeast from three miles up the Copper Creek trail.
Friday, April 29, a day after a snow storm, the skies cleared and
Kings Canyon revealed all its splendor. That is 13,157-foot Mount
Brewer a little to the right of center (I was standing at 7,200 ft.)
A fine snow pack
This picture was taken a couple
miles north of Grant Grove in Kings
Canyon National Park.

Mossy log
I dunno, I just thought it looked
cool. I found a smaller version and
perched it on my car's dashboard.
Grizzly Falls
You will get wet! There are
several picnic tables around this
spot a few miles west of Cedar
Grove.
Mist Fall
Four miles from the Roads End
trailhead. During warm days, this
waterfall can drop the temp 15
degrees.
Bubbs Creek footbridge
Two miles east of Roads End
trailhead, one crosses the South
Fork Kings River to reach Forester
Pass (8 miles) and Mount Whitney
(45 miles)..
Note:
My panoramic software is on another computer...check back for more photos later!
Roaring River Falls
As the name implies, this waterfall
makes a lot of racket. This fall is a
couple miles east of Cedar Grove.
